Nature, it seems, is not without a sense of irony. Or how else would you explain the beauty in these pictures, taken just two months after what is turning out be the worst ever natural disaster by oil: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/06/oil_in_the_gulf_two_months_lat.html - 37 pictures of the gulf of mexico / BP oil spill. Some of those pics are amazingly beautiful, yet knowing what they depict makes my heart ache.
