probably either a power transformer vibrating, or more likely a zener diode (used for voltage regulation) &quot;singing&quot;.  the transformer could probably be fixed with some type of mechanical vibration dampener, like a shim or pad.  The zener is probably more difficult to stop, since it&#039;s solid-state, probably requiring replacement to make it go away, and even then is might not go away.
